Quickweave
A quick weave is a fast, more affordable hair extension method where hair wefts are bonded to a protective cap. It offers the look of a full sew-in with less time in the chair.
Installation Techniques:
Hair is braided or molded flat against the scalp
Protective wraps and a cap provide a barrier or (gel like hardener ) is applied to protect the hair from glue.
Wefts are glued onto the cap and styled as desired.
This can be done with or without leave-out, depending on the desired look.
Longevity:
Typically lasts up to 5 weeks with proper care. It's designed to be a temporary protective style and should not be worn too long to avoid buildup or tension.Styles:
Quick weaves can be customized into bobs, long sleek looks, side parts, middle parts, and half-up styles. They offer lots of versatility and are great for switching things up quickly.Benefits:

Sew-In
A sew-in is a long-lasting hair extension method where hair is braided into cornrows, and wefts are sewn onto the braids using a needle and thread. It’s a protective style that offers durability and versatility while allowing your natural hair to rest and grow underneath.
Installation Techniques:
Natural hair is cornrowed into a foundation pattern
A net may be added for extra protection and support
Hair extensions (wefts) are sewn securely onto the braids
Can be done with full coverage or with leave-out for a natural blend

Sew-ins typically last up to 10 weeks, with proper maintenance. After that, it's recommended to take the style down to cleanse and care for your natural hair and scalp.Styles:
Sew-ins can be customized into long layers, bobs, curly styles, bone-straight looks, half-up styles,or voluminous blowout looks. You can also choose a middle part, side part, or full-coverage style with no leave-out.Benefits:

FAQs
-
A quick weave uses glue to bond hair extensions onto a protective cap or molded base for a fast, temporary style. A sew-in uses braids and thread to attach wefts, offering a longer-lasting and more secure option.
-
Quick Weave: Up to 5 weeks
Sew-In: Up to 10 weeks
Longevity depends on your hair type, maintenance, and lifestyle.
-
Not when done and removed properly. Both styles are protective when installed by a professional. Quick weaves must be taken down carefully to avoid glue damage. Sew-ins must not be left in too long to avoid matting or tension.
-
Quick Weave: Not usually recommended, especially if glue is used directly on the cap.
Sew-In: Yes! You can wash your hair carefully with shampoo, focusing on the scalp and wefts.
-
Yes! Both styles can be curled, flat ironed, or waved—just like your natural hair. Use heat protectant to avoid damage.
-
Not always. Both styles can be done with or without leave-out. Leave-out blends your natural hair with the extensions for a more natural look, but full coverage options are available too (especially with closures or frontals).
-
Quick Weave: Great for short-term wear, budget-friendly, and ideal for quick style changes.
Sew-In: Best for longer wear, stronger hold, and lower daily maintenance. Perfect if you want a secure, protective style for weeks.

Wrap Your Hair at Night:
Use a silk or satin scarf or bonnet to wrap your hair nightly. This keeps your style smooth, preserves curls, and prevents frizz.Avoid Water & Humidity:
Quick weaves aren’t water-friendly. Wear a shower cap when bathing and avoid steamy environments to maintain the bond and style.Use Light Products:
Avoid heavy oils or products that can loosen the glue or make the hair greasy. Use a light serum only on the extensions—not your roots.Limit Heat Usage:
Extensions can handle heat, but too much can weaken the glue bond and damage the hair. Use low to medium heat with a heat protectant if styling.Don’t Overwear the Style:
Keep quick weaves in for no more than 4 weeks. Leaving them in too long can cause tangling, buildup, or damage to your natural hair.
